The ride to Stockton for the 2nd annual Way Out West BBQ Championship was thankfully uneventful compared to our last event.

Results out of 39 teams

• Chicken -14th place
• Ribs - 28th place
• Pork  - 10th place
• Brisket - 5th place
• Overall - 11th place
• Total contestants - 39

Our brisket won 5th place. We backed up our 3rd place brisket from Penn Valley. Looks like we're on the right path. That brisket was responsible for our respectable 11th place overall finish.

Unfortunately, we can't seem to get more than one entry into the top 5 per any event. Oh well, we'll keep cooking and learning and taking notes until we get were we need to be.
