This was our first outing with the new Backwoods Smokers and trailer setup. We made lots of mistakes and compensated where we could, but pork was dry and tough, judges tasted charcoal or fuel taste in chicken, and ribs were slightly under done. Brisket was

This is a warm-up event with open judging, and there weren't exactly a lot of highly experienced teams to contend with so despite all the problems we still managed a reserve grand champion (2nd place)
