A national KCBS sanctioned event

This is our first trip cooking outside of California since the Jack Daniel's and the American Royal in 2012. We purchased 1 new 22 inch WSM for contests in the Mid Atlantic area. We had none of our normal equipment with us.

Working from a single 22" WSM meant a new cook schedule, new cooker, new region taste profiles. If we didn't do well at least we had an excuse.

And although we did not take a top 5 walk at awards, we did manage to eak out a 10th place overall. We were quite happy with those results considering how new all everything was for this Mid Atlantic setup
