A national KCBS sanctioned event

We were sure fired up for this contest after a decent showing at Santa Anita. It was a very smooth cook and we were pleased with all our turn ins. Funny thing is, that's bad. In competition BBQ, the judges usually hate your good stuff and like your bad stuff.

Well our they didn't like our stuff, except for the ribs. That's a huge turn around for us. We finally gor our first first place in ribs. We've struggled in ribs for so long, this is huge for us.

Turns out we were making good ribs all along, but systematically screwing them up during boxing. So although or next best was 10th in pork, we're pretty happy with the turn of events, and we'll try again next time.
