The chicken was overdone, and a surprise at 8th. The ribs were better than the chicken, but scored a lot lower. Every competitor has these kinds of stories, and there's just no telling where you're going to score...

Comments: A great, casual event despite oppressive temperature ranging from 102 to 122, depending on which thermometer you read. The people are why we compete - we've met a wonderful crop of people and continue to at each event.
