A pretty good showing but not as good as hoped. We scored a 5th place in ribs which isn't bad, the problem is that 5th place caused us to be bumped down in state rankings. We were second place in ribs in the California rankings. The third place time won ribs this day, so now we're third - grrr. Oh well, we've got one more competition to try and regain 2nd place.

A terrible pork score continues to confound us but a fith place in brisket was very welcome and affirms we need to make a change in our source for brisket in the 2014 season.
