1st Cowboy Up Rodeo and BBQ

This contest rounds out our 2013 competition bbq season. I can't say it's met our expectations of one or two
grand championships and our pork scores have been a real problem this year. Pork used to be so easy for us - cook
it, pull it, rub and sauce it and take a walk. Not the case this year.
Interestingly, we did turn the corner on ribs and chicken, our two weakest meats of our high water mark year of
2012. Unfortunately, our two strongest meats of 2012 were a problem for us this year, especially pork.
We hoped to regain 2nd place state ranking with ribs but fell way short of that mark in Lancaster, our best
score was a 9th place chicken even though our cook went fairly well.Next year, next year....
